Duties

As a Deputy Associate Director (CFO)/Deputy CFO, You Will:

  • Oversee, coordinate, and direct the day-to-day management aspects of the financial and compliance programs within the CFO Directorate. In partnership with the AD (CFO), the position is responsible for ensuring the integrity and solvency of the BEP revolving fund.
  • Plan work to be accomplished by subordinate Office Chiefs, including setting priorities, evaluating performance, giving advice, counsel, and instructions, effecting minor disciplinary actions, and identifying developmental and training needs.
  • Identify and evaluate problems, analyzing alternatives, and recommending solutions to difficult administrative management problems.
  • Provide oversight and direction in analyzing financial results and outlook assumptions, identifying and assessing important bottom-line contributors to achieve financial objectives.
  • Support the AD (CFO) in negotiations and discussions with the Federal Reserve on the parameters and guidelines for the development of the annual currency budget.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience for the GS-15 is one year (52 weeks) of experience at the GS-14 level or equivalent, in the public sectors, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.

Specialized Experience Is Defined As:

  • Providing direction over day-to-day fiscal operations of a professional organization; AND
  • Leading teams to ensure on-time execution of plans and the development and implementation of policy programs; AND
  • Monitoring and evaluating administrative functions, such as accounting, internal controls, and budget formulation and execution; AND
  • Collecting, analyzing, and reporting financial information for the execution of strategic and operational plans.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
