We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst for a critical implementation project, transitioning from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S4HANA. The challenges are with the transfer of data from General Ledgers and GR/IR transactions. We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst Contractor to join the project team for a 9-month engagement. The successful candidate will address data transfer issues, ensuring data accuracy, eliminating duplicates, and resolving missing data problems.
Qualifications
10 years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on financial data.
Proficiency in SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP S4HANA, with an understanding of their differences and improvements.
Extensive experience with data migration strategies and tools within the SAP environment.
Expertise in handling General Ledger (GL) and Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GR/IR) transactions.
Strong knowledge of SAP Data Services, SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT), and ETL processes.
Experience with SAP Fiori applications and SAP HANA database optimization.
Proficiency in ABAP programming for custom reports and data extraction.
Strong SQL skills for querying and managing data within SAP databases.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve data issues.
Project management skills to oversee the data migration process.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and document progress.
Familiarity with various SAP modules (e.g., FI, CO, MM, SD) and their integration points.
Prior experience with SAP implementation or upgrade projects, specifically transitioning from SAP ECC to SAP S4HANA.
Essential Duties
Lead the data migration process from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S4HANA.
Analyze and resolve data accuracy, duplication, and missing data issues in General Ledgers and GR/IR transactions.
Implement data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance measures.
Develop custom reports and data extraction programs using ABAP programming.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address data migration challenges.
Optimize data structures and processes to ensure a smooth transition to SAP S4HANA.
Utilize SAP Data Services and SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT) for effective data migration.
Ensure data integrity and quality throughout the ETL process.
Use SQL and database management principles to manage and query SAP databases.
Provide regular updates and documentation of progress to the project team and stakeholders.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, or related field is preferred but not required.
