Assoc Director, Customer Engagement, Insights & Analytics

This position will be responsible for compiling and analyzing customer, field and market data and providing valuable feedback and actionable insights to guide promotional customer activities and performance. To be successful as a Customer Analyst you should be able to analyze large amounts of data, accurately project field trends, identify field opportunities, and provide practical guidance to optimize field strategies, increase market share and field performance. This role requires a proactive person with the ability to collaborate effectively across a wide range of cross-functional partners and stakeholders.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Associate Director, Customer Engagement Insights & Analytics, are to:

  • Serve as the Customer Analytics point person to Area VP subsequent Area General Managers (AGM);
  • Represent analytics in national conversations. Understand the Brand strategy and recommend field tactics to drive the strategy based on actionable insights from multiple data sources. Act as a strategic field analytics advisor to the leadership;
  • Serve as the point person for Customer Analytics infrastructure needs (eg gain alignment on specifications for analytics tools, supply those to Data Solutions colleagues, follow up if analytics tools needs evolve etc.);
  • Manage the customer analytics ad hoc projects workflow for assigned Area and collaborate with other customer analysts for synergy and to help all analytics reach the appropriate customers in each respective Area;
  • Determine field KPIs, in collaboration with cross-functional partners and stakeholders. Analyze and report field data to Customer Engagement leadership providing explanations on findings that inform on business performance;
  • Monitor and analyze competitive activity, customer, and market trends. Provide actionable insights to guide the field teams;
  • Anticipate business questions and proactively generate subnational field insights to drive brand sales growth. Partner with Customer Engagement Excellence (CEEs), Market Access Pull through team, and Targeting and alignment team to identify and pull through actionable field insights to drive sales;
  • Use analytical platforms and tools such as Snowflake, Microstrategy (ATHENA/STAR), Tableau and advanced Excel to manipulate data and derive insights;
  • The primary location for this role is Residence-Based in the US.

Who You Are

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required;
  • Significant relative work experience with expertise in the healthcare environment;
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in Field and/or Account analysis;
  • Familiarity with commercial data sources used in healthcare industry (eg IQVIA subnational data, calls, samples, speaker programs, alerts data etc);
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as demonstrable in oral management presentations, succinct PowerPoint stories and layout, as well as structured syntheses and recommendations;
  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams;
  • Ability to appropriately challenge "prevailing wisdom," ensuring decisions and assumptions are based on best available information;
  • Programming/Coding proficiency in SQL;
  • Advanced Excel skills, working knowledge of Tableau;
  • Willing to learn new tools and processes and adapt to evolving field business needs;
  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams;
  • Ability to effectively influence at all levels;

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of relative work experience with 5 in the healthcare environment;
  • Proficiency in CRM software a plus.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $133,708 in to $200,562. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
