Junior Grid Engineer, Utility Scale Solar Energy, Hybrid / Milton Keynes, England UK, circa £45,000 - £50,000 pa bonus
This is an exciting new role with a leading European renewable energy firm who develop and operate large scale solar projects in the UK.

We’re looking for an engineering professional who understands how to engage DNOs and can help create momentum in projects. It’s likely you have minimum of 2 years’ technical grid engineering experience within a DNO or project development firm in the UK.
You’ll report to the head of grid and work very closely with professional colleagues to assess the viability of potential projects, find grid capacity and make grid applications for large scale solar PV projects.
Other duties may involve liaising with DNOs on budgets, completing G99 application forms, analysing technical drawings using Auto CAD and generating SLDs. You may also be called to provide due diligence for project acquisitions.

Ideally you are based somewhere in the central England area as the role will require travel to the regional head office and sites around the country.
Essential Requirements
Degree level education in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering
2-3 years’ experience in a technical grid connection role related to electricity projects with a DNO or project developer.
Knowledge of Grid Code/ENA G99.
Great communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders, DNOs and external specialist consultants.
UK based, ideally located in Central England area, able to travel to sites as required and to head office for bi-weekly team meetings.
Right to work in the UK indefinitely. The client is unable to support VISA applications for this role.
Remuneration
This role is offered on a fully employed basis, with a competitive base salary in the range circa £45,000 - £50,000 per annum as well as an annual bonus.
