At Severn Trent, we're on a mission to deliver exceptional wastewater services while protecting our environment for future generations. We're seeking a highly motivated and innovative Assistant Asset Engineer (Wastewater Networks) to join our Derby team.

In this role, you’ll be using your analytical skills to translate complex data into actionable insights. You'll be part of a dynamic team, collaborating with specialists to optimise network performance across catchments. You'll play a pivotal role in enabling effective solutions to complex wastewater network challenges, ensuring long-term network health and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse data to identify areas for improvement within wastewater networks.
  • Assist in applying asset management principles to key wastewater network classes.
  • Collaborate with specialists to assess the feasibility of proposed solutions for network-wide benefits.
  • Support the development, tracking and monitoring of portfolio and project budgets, ensuring efficient resource use and alignment with business plans.
  • Contribute to the development and communication of network improvement plans.

A keen interest in wastewater networks and a desire to contribute to their sustainable management.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel and Power BI.
  • A data-driven approach with an interest in financial management and basic budgeting principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a team environment.
