Project Director

McConnell Dowell is seeking an experienced Project Director to join our Senior Leadership Team in South East Asia. This role, reporting directly to the General Manager, Operations and will be responsible for winning and delivering projects in the South East Asia region.

As a senior member of the South East Asia business, you will play an essential part in ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget, whilst also leading and developing a team of talented project people. By taking a leading role in the success of a growing region you’ll have the opportunity to influence outcomes that make a genuine difference to the success and culture of McConnell Dowell and the communities we partner with.

Key Responsibilities

• Securing and delivering key projects within the South East Asia region;
• Meeting or exceeding project targets as they relate to revenue, program, safety, environment and quality.
• Build and maintain effective client relationships.
• Work closely with consultants, partners and subcontractors to ensure effective outcomes for all stakeholders.
• Lead and develop a team of construction professionals.
  
  

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have;

• Results driven with strong and visible leadership
• Tertiary qualifications in relevant engineering discipline (Civil/Construction/Mechanical)
• Significant engineering and project management experience within region and/or other locations in an engineering and construction environment.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders (employees, customers, regulators, suppliers, subcontractors)
• Capable of analysing technical and financial information and reports with the purpose of taking definitive action.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and succeed in high pressure environment
• Clear and definitive communication - oral and written.
• Experience in marine projects is an advantage, but not a requirement.
