Description:
The IT Infrastructure Manger is an high level position within the IT Infrastructure Team of the overall IT structure. A key focus of this position is the management and administration of Exela’s Windows hardware environment and infrastructure related systems and applications (Exchange, Active Directory, Anti-virus, backup). This position supervises of a team of IT professionals. This role serves as the technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and the development of solutions for process improvement opportunities. Additionally, this position may provide technical support to other systems supported by the overall internal IT Infrastructure team.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides technical management and administration oversight of assigned functional areas including, but not limited to configuration; day to day administration of systems and hardware; research and resolve problems: manage and resolve outages; perform scheduled maintenance activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet business requirements.
Provides overall strategy to ensure applications are “future proof” and “best in class.”
Provides direct day to day supervision of IT team in their assigned roles/tasks
Helps with training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and providing feedback on their performance.
Conducts annual performance appraisal of direct reports.
Ensures Exela policies and procedures are followed in the normal course of business operations.
Ensures security of hardware and data in accordance with Exela’s security policies.
Works with key IT and business stakeholder to implement the strategic direction for Exela’s business goals.
Works with direct reports to ensure system and hardware configuration, reliability, and uptime are sufficient to support business requirements.
Provides tier-2 and tier-3 support to troubleshoot, analyze, detect, identify and correct technical problems and deficiencies.
Work closely with other IT managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of Exela’s IT infrastructure.
Stays abreast of hardware enhancements to best utilize changes to support business
Serves as a key technical liaison between business stakeholders and IT.
Recommends process/customer service improvements
Maintains system/hardware documentation to ensure audit and compliance requirements.
Serves as liaison with third party service providers or other stakeholders.
Works with vendors to resolve technical issues.
Reviews user procedures, guidelines and documentation for technical details.
Works with cross functional teams and other technical teams to develop or harness technology to support key business processes.
Drives stakeholder alignment across key functional and technical teams.
Participates in vendor selection and provides direction to vendors and their staff on outsourced work.
Uses project management skills in managing projects and project teams.
Prepares project plans that outline expected tasks and activities.
Translates business requirements into technical specifications.
Uses technical specifications to research, design and implement system functionality and/or configuration
Creates best-practice policies and procedures.
Provides on-call support and resolves complex issues.
Follows internal controls and company policies as set by company and job function.
Contributes to the success of company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.
Maintains awareness of current trends in technology with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies.
Examines trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increase technical knowledge of applications and tools. Participates in user group meetings/conferences
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
5 - 10 years of experience working in IT infrastructure/network operations
Excellent working knowledge of Windows computer systems (servers and workstations), security, network and system administration, database & data storage systems, and unified communication systems.
Experience working within a VM environment.
Experience supervising a team.

Physical Requirements:
Physical demands with activity or condition requiring a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (i.e., keyboard, mouse, and monitor).
Physical demands may include walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling up to 25 lbs.
