Job Details

General Summary

Leads a team of ~60 people managing consumable inventory valued at ~$6B across all ~19k stores and ~30 Distribution Centers. Responsible for forecasting, ordering, and determining inventory levels at all locations within the supply chain. Collaborate extensively with merchandising, finance, and the distribution centers and transportation to effectively manage capital and drive in-stocks for the company.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Define strategy, set priorities, and deliver year over year improvement plans in all major KPIs including in-stock, service level, forecast accuracy/bias, working capital, team productivity, etc.
  • Drive in-stocks to target by identifying, resolving, and developing processes to productively manage inventory.
  • Collaborate with merchants to support key initiatives and to drive their business.
  • Build relationships with vendors and work together to deliver win-win initiatives and support Dollar General’s growth.
  • Train and develop demand chain team to become independent problem solvers
  • Support the broader supply chain including inbound transportation, outbound transportation, and distribution centers to achieve cross-functional success.

Qualifications

Work Experience &/or Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business required; MBA preferred.
  • 10-15 years of retail leadership experience with five or more years executive management experience in a publicly traded retailing company.
  • Experience in a billion dollar plus retail growth company preferred.
