About The Team

The Brand Strategy team is responsible for owning the Rothy’s expansion into New Verticals, our overall Positioning, Marketing investment strategy, and our Customer. This group knows our brand and customer intrinsically and ensures all of our cross-functional strategies ladder up to these north stars. They will lead all strategies aimed at bringing our brand promise to life, ensuring we are clearly communicating our core differentiators and reasons to believe.

About The Role

As the Temporary Brand Strategy Senior Manager at Rothy’s, you will report directly to the CMO and play a crucial role in shaping our overall marketing strategy. This temporary position offers the exciting opportunity to drive growth initiatives, including expanding on Amazon Marketplace, entering international markets, and developing wholesale channels. You will work closely with cross-functional partners, acting as the key marketing liaison with external agencies and internal stakeholders. Additionally, you will lead budget planning, investment recommendations, and manage brand spend forecasts, collaborating with the Digital Commerce team and Analytics to define target consumer segments and market opportunities. Your leadership will guide the Marketing team through strategic initiatives, consumer insights, and major brand projects, including sustainability and new verticals.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and drive overall marketing strategy and project management for new growth initiatives at Rothy’s such as expansion on Amazon Marketplace, international markets, and wholesale, acting as key marketing liaison with external agency partners and internal stakeholders
  • Act as right hand budget lead to make brand investment recommendations and submit monthly brand spend re-forecast to Finance based on overall company strategies and priorities and act as keeper of historical and future-looking investment strategies in close partnership with the Digital Commerce team'Lead annual budget planning for the Marketing team in partnership with the CMO, working closely with team leads to outline insights and trends from current year marketing spend and company performance to determine the marketing budget for the next year
  • Act as owner of the weekly Strategy Review meeting, guiding the full Marketing team on agenda items that should (and should not) come through this forum to drive work forward
  • Work closely with our Analytics teams to clearly define our target consumer segments, personas, and total addressable market opportunities. Bring this to life for the full company, to act as the north star to which all strategies and tactics should ladder
  • Own future Consumer Insights workstreams in close partnership with Analytics, working with external agencies where necessary to commission research and ongoing brand health surveys
  • Work closely with the Omni-Channel Content & Planning team to ensure our seasonal Comms Plan is supporting key brand initiatives, effectively communicating our reasons to believe, and successfully reaching our critical consumer target audiences
  • Work closely with the Amplification team on exploring new and different ways to get the Rothy’s brand out into the world, from partnerships and collaborations to other brand-right channels or opportunities

You Are

  • Strong budget planning, forecast reporting, and expense management skills
  • Proficient in interpreting data analytics and developing strategic insights and takeaways
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize projects based on business needs
  • Proficiency in Google Suite Platforms (Google Slides, Google Sheets, etc.)
  • Experience working in project management platforms (i.e. Wrike)

You Have

  • 6 to 8 years of experience working in marketing and/or brand strategy for a consumer brand or agency
  • Experience with annual budget planning, monthly expense management and preparing monthly forecast reports
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple departments, managing several projects simultaneously
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to gather weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance data to leverage in future marketing strategy
  • Ability to lead weekly cross-functional meetings and prepare weekly agendas and meeting recaps
  • Experience presenting marketing results and insights to senior leadership

Pay Range

$150,000 - $177,000 annually

Base pay is one part of the total rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
