Tax Director - $225k Bonus

Henderson Harbor Tax was established in 2009 as a specialized tax placement division of Henderson Harbor Group. Over the past 15 years, HHTax has successfully leveraged our vast network of tax professionals and our targeted industry knowledge to successfully advise careers and place professionals at every level from Tax Associates to Chief Tax Officers, and Tax Partners, in both private industry and public accounting. We service our clients primarily in the NYC area as well nationally through our AAFA network (45 financial staffing affiliates throughout the U.S. and Canada).

Our client, a global technology leader, is seeking a Tax Director to oversee the tax provision and US tax compliance processes. The ideal candidate will have over ten years of experience in managing tax functions, demonstrating expertise in tax accounting, compliance, and strategic planning.

Compensation: $225,000 Bonus

Workplace Policy: This is a Hybrid role and requires someone to be local to New York City.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities
• In charge of the quarterly and annual tax accounting processes globally (US GAAP and IFRS)
• Oversee the tax compliance function, which include Federal, state & local tax returns and extensions
• Build relationships with external auditors, address any requests or inquiries
• Research tax issues and prepare technical memos and documentation to support our reporting positions
• Create and support international tax as business grows

Requirements:

• 10 years of relevant experience, preferably Public Accounting (Big4/National) and in-house tax experience
• BA/BS degree in accounting or related field
• CPA/Master’s in Taxation preferred
• Well-versed in both US Federal/state income/non-income and International tax
• Ability to manage multiple engagements in fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently
