In this role, the selected applicant will be responsible for{{:}}
Managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows and Linux server environments
Providing system administration support for various networked and stand-alone IT infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software
Performing server patching and updates in accordance with established procedures and best practices
Providing technical support and troubleshooting for end users
Performing system backups and ensuring data integrity
Implementing security measures and monitoring system performance
Requirements
Five (5) years of experience in engineering systems administration with Windows server operating systems and services, including Active Directory, WINS, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs
Three (3) years of experience with advanced VMware concepts, including vSphere Distributed Switch (ds), Site Recovery Manager (SRM), vSphere Storage I/O Control (SIOC), VMware Network Virtualization and Security Platform (NSX), and Update Manager
Three (3) years of experience providing SCCM/SCOM administration support in a mixed and growing environment supporting Microsoft Windows server 2008 R2/2012 R2, Microsoft SQL 2012 , Windows 2010 , VMWare, and Hyper-V.
Experience with RHEL 7x-8x, Ubuntu 20.04/greater, or other Linux/UNIX operating systems.
Experience working with PowerShell, Power CLI, and Windows batch scripting
Two (2) years of experience installing, patching, monitoring, and supporting Linux servers in a virtualized enterprise environment
One year of experience with Linux scripting languages
One year of experience analyzing system security vulnerabilities and remediation
One year of experience performing system backups, failovers, and restores in a VMWare/SAN storage environment
One (1) year of networking principles and applications/technologies (e.g., TCP / UDP protocols, DNS, DHCP services)
Knowledge of multiple IT environments, including server and cloud-based platforms
Knowledge and comprehension of secure build techniques, tools, and practices of DISA Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG). Experience with disaster recovery and Continuity of Operations (COOP).
The selected applicant must have DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security CE)
The selected applicant must have the Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate Certification
Security Clearance{{:}} An Interim DoD secret security clearance is required to start. Applicant must be able to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance. Selected applicant may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
