Position Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Associate is a vital member of our team who ensures that our essential products make it safely to the hands of our customers. The Shipping and Receiving Associate will also ensure that materials are properly received from vendors so production can continue running smoothly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Shipping
Selects items from stockroom, prepares and packages products for shipment
Creates and prints shipping labels and packing slips
Coordinates with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
Verify accuracy of orders and confirm that all necessary documentation is included
Ensures compliance in handling customers' orders
Receiving
Receives and processes incoming shipments; ensures accuracy in physical verification of stock
Stores received items in the stockroom according to standard operating procedures
Scans documentation according to standard operating procedures, and enters stockroom data into the appropriate computer system
Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions
General
Picks materials from stockroom for manufacturing
Assists with organizing and managing inventories
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the Shipping and Receiving area
Participates in periodic inventory cycle counts and records adjustments
Continuously identify opportunities for improvement (OFI); suggest ways to improve processes
Requirements
3 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing setting required
Experience coordinating shipments with UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc. required
Strong computer skills, including the use of inventory management systems, Microsoft Office, etc
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items
Ability to prepare required documentation
Ability to perform basic math calculations
Basic knowledge of customer service standards

Annualized Salary: $41,600-52,000 per year (Hourly Rate: $20-25 per hour)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
