Genesis10 is seeking a Mortgage Loan Specialist for a 9-month contract to perm position with a financial services client located in Boston, MA. This is a hybrid opportunity, however position will start with 5 days in the office until completion of training.
Summary: Genesis10 is currently seeking a qualified candidate as a Mortgage Loan Specialist. They will be responsible for performing routine operational duties related to residential, construction, and commercial mortgage loans in compliance with the client's policies, procedures, and related laws and regulations. Assists in the loan application process; originates loan documentation and boards loans; conducts loan funding and processes payments or advances as directed; distributes daily and monthly reports; and promotes business for the client by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.
Responsibilities:
Solves complex servicing problems based on a deep understanding of servicing procedures, standards, and the MSP servicing system
Reviews and reconciles servicing reports
Analyzes mortgage data with ease using common Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
Completes mortgage servicing projects as needed (individually or as a team)
Successful behaviors include a self-driven professional with exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to organize, prioritize, and allocate workload for optimum efficiency
Team player with the ability to adapt to a constantly changing, fast-paced environment
Demonstrates a solid understanding of residential mortgage industry servicing standards
Contribute to the achievement of team goals
Qualifications:
High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience in the financial industry is required
Bachelor's degree preferred
1-5 years of total work experience preferred; experience in mortgage lending preferred.
Position based in Boston or Pittsburgh
Only candidates available and ready to work directly as New Journey/Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no corp to corp)
Compensation: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour.
