CPP Primary Care is seeking a full-time Front Office Assistant for East Hills Primary Care. The FOA is responsible for assisting Physician’s in providing good customer service and direction to all patients within the CPG physician office. This ensures quality health care and patient satisfaction to meet the needs of patient care within the physician’s office. The patient care will range from children to geriatrics.

Day shift, 7-10 hr/shift, weekdays only
Essential Responsibilities
Answer phones.
Complete registration process.
Send tasks, if applicable, to either Physicians or clinical staff.
Check patients out and make follow-up appointments.
Fax paperwork, inner office mail, and US postal mail.
Collect co-payments at time of service and accurately post payments to patient account.
Verify that labs/results have been successfully transmitted into patients EMR.
End of day process.
Scan paperwork that needs placed in the patient’s EMR.
Complete all office tasks each day before close of business.
Complete referrals/authorizations as needed for patients.
Travel to satellite locations as needed.
Required Skills
Must have the ability/skills to communicate using good customer service techniques when talking to patients of the practice.
Staff members working as clerical staff must be able to multi-task in a calm and welcoming environment.
Rotation of the staff will be required to ensure consistent care and procedures within the office.
Education
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma is required.
Certification of Medical Secretary, Medical Office Assistant is preferred.
Experience
Experience working in the medical field. Either in a physician office, clinic, or other related medical office settings is preferred.
At least 2 years’ experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
Certification of a Medical Secretary, MOA or MOT; CPR certification is preferred.
Skills And Abilities
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to be courteous and cooperative when working with patients and their families.
Ability to be flexible.
Work independently and prioritize multiple tasks as well as take directions from other staff members, physician’s and supervisor with strive.
Must be able to work as a team.
Must have the ability to instruct and educate patients regarding office process and procedures.
Must also use the EMR with ease and confidence.
It is essential for the entire staff to follow department policies, financial policies in accordance to the CPG organizational policy manual.
