Responsibilities

The Global Business Technology & Operations (“GBTO”) department has worldwide responsibility for supplying Global Banking and Investor Solutions (“GBIS”) with all the technology and operations resources necessary for them to function under competitive conditions in terms of technological standards, service quality and cost.

The GBTO Technology division is responsible for front-office systems development globally, supporting trading activity in America, Europe, and Asia. Focusing on Fixed Income, our group provides pricing tools, negotiation engines, market connectivity and other trading system applications. The New York team supports the dynamic New York trading desks with a combination of in-house and vendor systems. All teams in our group are co-located on the trading floor and have daily interactions with our users (traders, sales, quants, …).

Part of a global setup for FIC Exotic Rates activities, the pre-trade pricing and calibration team develops applications deployed in Paris, London, New York and Hong-Kong wih some applications migrated to the Azure public cloud. The application development uses Agile and continuous delivery methodologies (Kanban) and tools like Jira/Jenkins/TeamCity/Octopus/Kubernetes/Harbor/ArgoCD.

Responsibilities:

The Pricing team is currently looking to hire a motivated, proactive, and highly contributing full stack Programmer Analyst with Cloud development experience to work on strategic projects that require an accelerated time-to-market.

As part of this position, you will:

  • Act as the main point of contact with the Exotic IRD front officers in the New York office (i.e. traders, quants, ...) regarding the various pricing tools they use (from requirement gathering, development, test, release to support).
  • Design and develop strong real-time pricing solutions and data analytics tools for the traders (full stack development: front-to-back).
  • Be responsible for software releases, configuration, monitoring and support of such tools, services, components, and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot technical or functional issues in a complex financial environment to provide timely resolution, with various applications and platforms that are global.
  • Work with users to understand and gather their business needs. Then translate this into IT specs and participate on the required developments.
  • Manage several streams of work concurrently.
  • Close coordination with our global teams to leverage and extend our existing tools.
  • Bring a passion to stay on top of DevOps trends, experiment with and learn new CI/CD technologies.
  • Be part of the transformation of the operating model
  • Suggest strategic orientation and innovation for the chapter

Profile Required

Competencies and Experience

Qualifications:

Required

  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Computer Science or related concentration.

Desired

  • Degree in Finance.

Experience Needed:

  • Experience as an Application Developer in financial services industry (Front Office preferably).
  • Experience in Fixed Income pricing.

Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Experience developing applications using .Net and C#, REST API, unit testing
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills.
  • Microservices and API development
  • Comfortable with scripting language.
  • Knowledge of source-control tools.
  • Understanding of Agile and CI/CD concepts.
  • Comfortable with implementing multi-tier applications.

Desired

  • Experience developing user interfaces using WPF, Angular/React, Javascript/Typescript
  • Experience developing in Azure and Hybrid Cloud architecture.
  • Experience developing in Python.
  • Knowledge of GitHub, TeamCity, Jenkins, Octopus, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD.
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization and building secure applications

COMPENSATION & SALARY RANGE:

Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.
