Manages all aspects of the resident admission process and experience ensuring a positive experience for all involved.
Qualifications
High school or equivalent required, Bachelors’ degree preferred
Knowledge of HIPAA, proven success protecting confidential information
Passion and dedication to helping others and remaining professional in all situations
Experience with admissions, skilled nursing or hospital setting preferred
Outstanding communication (oral and written) skills – good on phones
Works collaboratively and independently and following procedures
Remains calm in stressful situations
Responsibilities
Develops systems and/or team members as needed to continually improve the experience of incoming patients/residents
Prepares facility for new admissions by communicating with employees, confirming all insurance benefit coverages, obtaining authorizations, and securing any/all equipment
Ensures all necessary information and/or paperwork is completed, communicated and entered into company systems as needed securing approvals or denials timely
Conducts facility tours, educates potential clients/referral sources on facility benefits
Ensures a kind, positive and professional experience with everyone in the workplace
Working knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing care facilities and the department
