We have an exciting opportunity to join the bank as a Technical Lead. Here you'll be accountable for technology assets and end to end technology processes related to the Ledger Transformation program, focussing on our Treasury function. You will be working with other CFO, CRO, CIO teams, as well as CDO to deliver a fully integrated state of the final Ledger technology solution over the next 2 to 3 years.

The Difference You'll Make

  • Understanding the current Treasury function, data flows and re-modelling to meet the objectives of the single ledger transformation, and championing Agile Ways of Working
  • Building technical specifications, plans and testing strategies to deliver the new approach and ensure that it follows the overarching transformation blueprint
  • Managing the successful delivery of all associated workstreams in your scope and realising the agreed strategy and roadmap from a technology perspective
  • Working in full collaboration with the nominated Business Lead to design and develop solutions to meet the regulatory, audit (both internal and external) demands as well as CFO business aspirations in terms of efficient processes and quality outputs for the program
  • Ensuring Santander adopts leading practice digital architecture patterns, leveraging best in class external solutions in their fullest, as well as internal capabilities
  • Ensuring that all relevant regulatory, audit and compliance requirements are engineered into the program being delivered

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in delivering complex end-to-end technology solutions with significant exposure and regulatory scrutiny preferably with experience of SaaS implementation in the financial sector
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with short term delivery of value
  • Demonstrable experience influencing at a senior level while building collaborative and trusted internal networks that achieve the desired goals
  • Driven manager with the will to build an effective and responsive team in a dynamic and uncertain environment
  • Experience working on Ledger technology assets and data and with technical skills in complex systems transformations, including data migration, certification and deployment techniques
  • Experience in building technical integrations between legacy and Cloud platforms including Extract, Transform and Load techniques, data quality analysis and remediation, E2E testing, deployment and cut over practices, working with Data Lake technologies and principles

It Would Also Be Nice For You To Have

Experience in modern application and data architectures including cloud-hosted solutions

Proven experience implementing and deploying SaaS based solutions, working with the business to ensure minimal tailoring of the out-of-the-box package that minimise time to market while maximising long term value and sustainability

Proven ability to develop integration software either in ERP environments or in comparable initiatives

Working experience with modern ERP systems either in a BAU or project delivery context

This is a Fixed Term Contract position until end Feb 2026.

The role is based in Milton Keynes and current expectation is at least 2 days in the office every week.

1st Stage - Competency & Technical questions interview - this will be for up to 1 hour ideally as a face-to-face meeting with the Hiring Team in Unity Place, Milton Keynes. We will review the face to face/virtual element based on your circumstances.

As well as a competitive salary, you'll enjoy a benefits package that you can tailor to your needs. For part-time / contract roles, your salary, bonus (where eligible) and certain benefits will be prorated to reflect your working hours / contract duration.

  • We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don't contribute yourself. We'll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer.
  • 30 days' holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5yrs service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year
