Applications are invited for the position of Research Assistant to join the group of Professor Magda Zernicka-Goetz. Professor Zernicka-Goetz's group whose long-term goal of our work is to understand the development of cell lineages and patterning in the early mammalian embryo and stem cell models.

The ideal candidate will possess a MSc level of education with relevant laboratory experience in culture of different cells lines in vitro, including stem cell culture experience, molecular biology, including genetics/genomics. He/She will have a good extensive experience of molecular, cell and developmental biology and excellent general laboratory skills. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential.

The role of the post will be to provide research support and assistance to Professor Zernicka-Goetz and her research group. The role-holder will prepare and conduct experiments supervised by senior group members. He/She will work to defined protocols, and prepare and collate experimental data and results for subsequent interpretation. This will involve embryonic stem cell culture and various molecular biology techniques.

Fixed Term: the funds for this post are available until 29 December 2024.
