Job Summary

CPSFL has an exciting opportunity for a Youth and Family Counselor / T riple P Therapist for a full-time position. The Triple P Therapist is responsible for providing developmentally appropriate assessment and emotional/behavioral health services to infants, toddlers, young children and their families in homes, schools, and other safe community settings depending on the family’s choice and needs.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy (or the equivalent) from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of two years experience with children with emotional/behavioral health disturbances.
  • Registered Intern with the State of Florida. Licensed Preferred
  • Accredited in Triple Level 3/4/5
  • Bilingual Required - Creole Speaking

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Experience working with children and families with psychological, behavioral, and/or psychosocial issues.
  • Ability to work well as a member of a team and to be flexible.
  • Understanding of the stages of early childhood growth and development
  • Demonstrate cultural competence and awareness of the socio-cultural characteristics of clients served.
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally; work a flexible schedule, which includes evenings and possibly weekends to meet family needs.
  • Some knowledge of community resources.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

ORGANIZATION CULTURE: Promote the mission, values and vision of Community Partners of South Florida.

TEAM PLAYER: Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team.

SUPPORTING CLIENTS: Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy to children and families in adherence with the treatment plan.

OUTREACH: Act as a liaison and appropriate representative for the agency with outside social service agencies, schools, and other organizations.

Compensation And Benefits

Salary: $52,000 annually.
