POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the guidance of Pets Global, Inc.’s Operations Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the staff within the Warehouse. The Warehouse Supervisor is expected to have the ability and knowledge to conduct all Warehouse, Operations, Logistics and POS Material related tasks which includes but is not limited to: repicking, packing, and shipping supplies and materials to customers in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transports, sorts, and stocks materials. Knowledge of logistics systems. Understanding of transportation limitations and regulations, Ability to contribute individually to greater goal, planning skills. Understanding of transportation issues. The use of discretion, confidentiality and independent judgement is critical in all aspects to the work performed within this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-6 years warehouse/operations experience or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong inventory control skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices.
  • Forklift certified.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic competence in all warehouse duties and tasks.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Supervises all shipping, receiving, and POS room activities performed by warehouse and operations staff; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees on warehouse floor throughout the shift.
  • Establishes and maintains department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy.
  • (Logistics) Plan warehouses and distribution centers for efficiency in both operations and capacity.
  • (Logistics) Organize transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary.
  • (Logistics) Coordinate and track movement of goods through logistic pathways.
  • (Logistics) Execute logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule.
  • (Logistics) Maintains quality throughout the logistic processes.
  • Assist with audits of vendor invoices and month-end processing to incorporate finance accruals.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction and operational improvements.
  • Reviews, prioritizes, and organizes all orders to be picked and/or shipping during shift.
  • Schedules equipment maintenance as required in breakdown situations.
  • Manages all receiving and shipping office paper flow.
  • Forecasts crewing needs to meet peak demands of the business and staff team; accordingly, trains, motivates, coaches, rewards, and disciplines crew being supervised; resolves personnel issues.
  • Leads crew by example by loading trucks and/or performing other duties as necessary.
  • Performs required administrative tasks; prepares required reports and correspondence.
  • Oversees receiving personnel in the pick and pack of orders.
  • Assists managers with development and implementation of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by staff.
  • Assists with inventory activities; supervises inventory control process including but not limited to check-in/check-out, settlement, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Oversees the sanitation activities performed in the warehouse.
  • Resolves warehouse-related issues with representatives from other department throughout the company.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.
  • Maintains safety programs and all required safety training for the crew.
  • Be an active part of the monthly safety meetings.
  • Maintains and solicits great customer service.
  • Maintain ethical behavior towards coworkers, staff, vendors, customers, etc.
  • Maintains and solicits great customer service.
  • Uploads needed information onto Amzon.com and Chewy.com website portals such as best by dates, pallet count, PO weights and product availability
  • Delivers incoming mail and packages to the respective recipients
  • Creates labels for outgoing shipments via USPS, FedEx & UPS
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

  • Directly supervises 5-15 employees.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

  • Inspect, correct, and maintain your workstation/environment to ensure it is free from hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • The employee is responsible for reporting all injuries and accidents, no matter how minor, to their supervisor or the HR Department.
  • Immediately report all observed unsafe acts and conditions to your supervisor or the HR Department.
  • Always report to work in an acceptable condition, not under the influence of any substance that could inhibit your ability to work safety or efficiently.
