Summary:

My client based in Los Angeles seeks a Supply Chain Optimization Manager to join their West Coast team. As the global leader in aerospace componant manufacturing and a key player in commercial transportation of aerospace goods in North America, my client supplies high-tech, multi-material aerospace solutions critical from nose to tail on aircraft and aerospace engines, as well as in industrial gas turbines, automobiles, and construction equipment.


My client is in search of a Supply Chain Optimization Manager to drive efficiancy and cost reductions across the manufacturing and strategic sectors of the business. From process improvements to driving change management this individual will play a major role in increasing productivity across the floor.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives within the division, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency, productivity, on-time delivery, and cost reduction.
  • Identify and implement engineered solutions to reduce waste, improve quality, increase throughput, enhance safety, and elevate business unit DVP%.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive shop floor improvements, potentially involving CAPEX projects, while standardizing processes for consistency and repeatability.
  • Analyze Profit and Loss (P&L) statements to uncover opportunities for cost reduction, revenue growth, and margin improvement.
  • Utilize data-driven methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and statistical tools to assess current processes and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Act as an internal consultant and catalyst, guiding plant leadership and teams in applying continuous improvement principles to drive operational excellence.
  • Provide training on lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts, combining classroom instruction with practical, hands-on learning experiences.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and evaluate the impact of improvement initiatives.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts at other HFS sites as needed, sharing best practices and facilitating knowledge exchange.
  • Drive change management initiatives to ensure successful implementation and long-term sustainability of process improvements.
