The Opportunity

DAT is looking for a Security Analyst I, to join our security team. This position will be based in our Denver, Colorado office working hybrid.

The Security Analyst I, will play a key role in helping to plan, organize, and manage governance, risk, and compliance efforts in alignment with the company’s overall security and data privacy programs. You will also work to perform risk assessments on current internal systems, as well as assess the security controls of current and proposed vendors in alignment with DAT’s security policies and standards.

What You Will Do

  • Help respond to alerts, conduct monitoring, and follow process for Intrusion prevention
  • Monitoring network traffic to identify and prevent unauthorized access to the system. This may involve using firewalls and intrusion detection systems to report suspicious activities.
  • Understand and participate in Security assessments
  • Conducting vulnerability testing and risk analysis and performing internal and external security audits.
  • Respond to Security breaches, attacks, or incidents as directed and needed
  • Analyzing security breaches to identify the root cause
  • Continuously updating the company's incident response plans
  • Security analysts should have experience in security technologies, system configurations, and a deep understanding of security policies and procedures. A bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, an information technology degree, or a related field can also be beneficial. Other helpful skills include proficiency in firewalls, network security, Linux, Unix, and security engineering.

The Skills And Experience You’ll Br

  • S. degree, Associate, or Boot Camp Certification in a computer science, information technology, cybersecurity related discipline or 1 years IT work experience directly in IT, Cyber, or Network.
  • Team Player with communication, organizational, and relationship management skills.
  • Self-motivated, with keen attention to detail and excellent judgment skills.
  • Familiarity with implementing Information Security control frameworks and standards (NIST CSF, OWASP SAMM, ISO)
  • Familiarity with information security tools and solutions (SIEM, EDR/MDR, Wireshark, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Reporting key operational, and program metrics designed to deliver transparency of compliance readiness, security framework alignment, program maturity and operations.
  • Ability to write and present articulated documentation and processes.
  • Familiarity of hybrid IT systems, networking, co-locations, and cloud environments.
  • Security , SSCP Certification is a plus.

For Colorado-based candidates, in compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum salary for this role is $75,000.00 benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
