We are looking for a Commercial Underwriter to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Responsibilities:
Perform duties related to the credit review and underwriting of commercial loans
Ensure the consistent use of well-supported and factual analyses and processes to determine and recommend risk ratings for loans that are manually underwritten
Evaluate adequacy of loan structure and make appropriate loan structuring recommendations; such recommendations may include, but are not limited to, loan term, loan amortization, loan pricing, and loan covenants
Perform complete and accurate cash flow and debt service analysis to include business and global cash flow debt service coverage ratios
Analyze collateral securing loan requests, performing an independent analysis of collateral being offered and whether collateral conforms to guidelines
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
2 years of commercial credit experience
Knowledge of financial statements and general accounting
Knowledge of commercial loan products, functions, policies and procedures
Ability to make sound decisions, prioritize work, meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision
