Assistant Controller

We are partnered with a Global Fortune 500 company that is in search of an Assistant Controller. This is a dynamic high visibility role for one of their largest divisions. This role will be positioned for growth opportunity both within the division and across the organization.

This individual should have 8 years of experience, and manufacturing experience preferably.

• Aid implementation and guarantee adherence to accounting policies and procedures
• Determine and form process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
• Backfill for Controller when necessary
• Compose diverse procedures, policies, and technical accounting analyses
• Support the accounting team during the closing process to confirm deadlines are met
• Developed preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
• Aid with the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
• Produce relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like key financial metrics, actual spend against budgets/outlook, and the monthly flash report
• Solid understanding of cost accounting
• Sarbanes Oxley experience a plus
• Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
• The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
