Job Title : Engineering Manager / Staff Software Development Engineer.

Brief about the role:

The Full stack Software Engineer / Engineering Manager will be a member of the team driving research and development of the [24]7 platforms. This team builds platform infrastructure and configurable front-end applications in mobile web, and desktop web as well as solutions that include speech and telephony integrations. [24]7 powers award-winning solutions for Fortune 500 companies. Responsibilities include designing and developing new platform components for application development and delivery of responsive web components, and of numerous supporting infrastructure services.

Successful candidates will have a computer science or related degree, knowledge in some Java/OOJS technologies and knowledge about HTML/JS/CSS. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of technical creativity, problem-solving ability, and knowledge about software processes and lifecycle expertise. The ideal candidate will enjoy learning new things, sharing this knowledge with the team, and learning from the team while being passionate about building great products.

Job location : Bangalore / hybrid

Core Requirements:

• Education: BE / B. Tech Degree, preferably in CS / IT from a reputed institution, with very strong foundations in Computer Science.
• Experience: 10 yrs. of hands-on Software Product Development experience (Full stack – Java / JavaScript / Node.js) in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with React.js
• At least 4 years’ experience using node.js.
• At least 4 years’ experience designing and building RESTful services.
• Strong experience developing web applications and understanding of new web technologies.
• Experience building highly available applications.
• Experience in Kubernetes and Container based development and deployment.
• Experience building/hosting production applications on any major cloud provider.
• Working knowledge of web service infrastructure such as DNS, load balancers, reverse proxies, CDNs, application Servers, and databases
• Basic understanding of networking concepts
• Experience using AUTH technologies such as OAuth2, LDAP/SAML a plus.
• Strong experience with Git
• Experience setting up CI/CD for new applications and development workflows.
• Experience writing unit and functional tests.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for end-to-end architecture of new products – Concepts, Architecture, Design & Delivery, Roll-out and Customer Success.
• Lead, guide, and mentor a team member.
• Architect scalable, robust, and cost-effective solutions in a cloud environment.
• Take complete ownership of the Non-Functional Requirements and in driving the technology roadmap.
• Work with technical leaders in other groups like R&D, Marketing and Customer Service, etc. in understanding the pain points and work with the engineering leaders to address them Identify applications for new technologies and lead implementation.
• Help define and maintain principles, guidelines, reference architectures, standards, road maps, and patterns especially as they pertain to custom application development.
• Establish a common set of architecture and design principles that the various engineering groups should adhere to.
• Actively research industry wide frameworks and integrate them into the platform needs.
• Have a research mind-set to investigate complex technical challenges and help us grow intellectual property assets.
• Motivate the larger team by being abreast with latest technological trends and demonstrating superior leadership skills.
• Steer various technical initiatives by working with counterparts in other engineering groups considering operational requirements.
