SAP Basis Administrator

The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for SAP solution lifecycle management and ensuring the performance and reliability of SAP and other enterprise systems. This role works with functional and technical teams to identify, install, configure, support, and document SAP and related solutions to meet business objectives. The customer has SAP ECC 6 with HANA DB & SQL Server DB, and SAP S/4 HANA on SAP managed cloud offering (RISE).

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day support of existing SAP ECC, HANA DB, SAP S/4 and other SAP applications on-premise and in the cloud/SAP RISE is a plus.
  • Perform Basis administrator configuration activities for new enhancement requests from business and support teams and perform SAP application installs and upgrades.
  • Providing SAP Application, Database, Operating System, and infrastructure support, including but not limited to Performance Tuning,
  • Transport Management via ChaRM, TMS, CTS , and SAP Application installations and upgrades (Support and Enhancement Packages)
  • Supporting the integration of emerging SAP technologies (e. g., HANA, FIORI / UI5 etc. ) into enterprise environments and exceptional business intelligence (BI) and BOBJ admin skills.
  • Set up and enhance system monitoring and alert mechanisms to ensure the system's health. Work support tickets from end users and product owners, troubleshoot issues with job scheduling, transport management, and printer administration.
  • Perform system refresh, client copies, transport management, OSS notes validations, and installations. Patching activities, including OS and DB level
  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve computing problems involving any installed SAP product (ECC and S/4 Hana systems, BI, BW/BOBJ, EP, SRM, SCM, GRC 12.0 & Solution Manager) system hardware, third-party software & operating system software.
  • Maintain architecture documentation, runbooks for all infrastructure and networking components.

Requirements

  • Required demonstrated experience and skills:
  • ECC Business Suite, S4 Enterprise Portal, Solution Manager; HANA Studio, Redhat, Windows Server, and SAP Cloud/RISE.
  • 5-8 years of technical experience in SAP S4/HANA BASIS performing architecture and implementation of defined SAP instances in an enterprise environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related business degree from an accredited university OR Relevant technical system administration experience SAP certifications (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude with taking ownership of the issues and timely resolving them to customer satisfaction.
