Senior Vice President, Renewable Energy Originations

A leading investment platform for a premier private equity firm focusing on real assets and sustainable infrastructure is seeking an SVP of Renewable Energy to be based remotely or in NYC.

The SVP of Renewable Energy will develop and maintain relationships with developers and business owners to acquire, service, and retain a portfolio of renewable energy infrastructure. The primary goal is to assist in building and managing a scalable, world-class investment and acquisition platform as part of the originations department. The SVP will work with the C-Suite to set strategy, guidelines, and parameters for the organization's renewables vertical.

Responsibilities:

• Consistently generate a high volume of deals with renewable energy developers.
• Foster a collaborative environment, working seamlessly with originations, underwriting, and legal teams.
• Create innovative and competitive pricing strategies and capital solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Establish and nurture deep, long-term relationships within the renewable energy developer community.
• Provide guidance to the team on lead generation, marketing, due diligence, and closing strategies.
• Continuously monitor and analyze energy market trends, development conditions, and emerging opportunities.
• Engage in frequent phone communication with developers and real estate professionals.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders and team members daily through various channels.
• Drive new business initiatives with strong self-motivation, goal orientation, and meticulous organization.
• Collect and analyze market intelligence data.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Over 5 years of experience in land development or acquisition.
• Expertise with the renewable energy industry’s development processes.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of influencing without authority and working effectively in a collaborative team setting.
• Strong skills in customer service, negotiation, team leadership, and presentations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as organizational abilities.
• Ability to develop and lead a team of motivated land acquisition specialists.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
