Physicians Practice Front Office Specialist

Job Description

We are searching for a Physicians Practice Front Office Specialist— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will coordinate and perform the scheduling of patients, receive and greet visitors, and answer and handle incoming calls. This role will involve coordinating the referral process, entering accurate billing information into the system and transmitting accurate claims.

Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of related experience required
  • Knowledge of general office tasks, confidentiality, filing, medical terminology, CPT coding, and managed care referral processes
  • Also requires knowledge of related OSHA and JCAHO guidelines and requirements
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service, act in a professional manner, type, file, use a multi-line telephone, computer, fax, copier, and calculation

  • Perform reception duties
  • Greets patients and visitors upon arrival.
  • Assists patients with check in
  • Enter charges into system
  • Monitor patient information and other practice data
  • Process patient payments
  • Schedule appointments
  • Coordinate referrals
  • Provide daily operational support
  • Maintain integrity of medical records
