PGY2 Emergency Medicine Resident at The Brooklyn Hospital Center

This PGY2 residency program is open to Doctors of Pharmacy who completed a PGY1 Pharmacy residency and hold a record of educational and professional achievement, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have an interest in pursuing a career in academia, as a pharmacotherapy specialist, or in the pharmaceutical industry.

All eligible applicants shall possess a Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE-accredited school/college of pharmacy and, for certain positions should have completed an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency, by the start date of the residency term. Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States throughout the duration of the Residency. No visa sponsorship will be provided. Those selected for residency positions must be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of New York and must possess said license to practice within 90 days of beginning the residency program. Applications will be processed through the PhorCAS portal and placement will be facilitated through the National Matching System per ASHP requirements.

The UNIVERSITY, through its College of Pharmacy and the Residency Director, shall be responsible for the academic evaluation, supervision, and control of Residents. The UNIVERSITY and their partners shall together be responsible for coordinating, directing and facilitating the Resident’s training experience, training schedule, and evaluating the Resident’s performance during the residency. The Director of Post Graduate Training, or designees at the UNIVERSITY shall oversee the Resident’s general distribution, assignments and responsibilities.

Education Requirements: A minimum of a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy practice PGY1 residency program.
