Objective

The Maintenance Planning Specialist is responsible for generating daily, weekly and shutdown maintenance work schedules. This position will work closely with all plant departments and outside contractors to optimize uptime, establish priorities, availability of manpower, equipment and spare parts to complete planned and emergency equipment / machine and facilities repairs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Plans all maintenance activity for the area, managing the maintenance staff, and driving facilities & uptime improvements.
  • Coordinates between operations managers, maintenance manager, production manager, materials schedule, and engineering regarding priorities to support manufacturing on day to day and long term basis.
  • Supports SQDCME, plant and department budget objectives.
  • Provides continuity/communication with management and other stakeholders on projects and priorities for the department.
  • Directs supervisor, staff, and technicians

Position Requirements

  • Associate's Degree, Trade or Tech. School in Maintenance or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years' experience in maintenance preferred
  • Experience in SAP
