Financial Analyst
The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Finance Director with capital projections, facilitating capital calls for investments, and ensuring the accuracy of informational systems such as Juniper Square and Trinity. This role includes preparing complex financial reports, conducting in-depth underwriting analysis, and performing due diligence on investments. You will contribute to the development of finance policies, ensure compliance with legislation and best practices, and participate in stakeholder meetings. Additionally, you will assist with special reporting, research, and ad hoc projects to optimize financial performance and strategic decision-making.

- Assist Finance Director with capital projections and facilitate capital calls for investments.
- Ensure all informational systems (Juniper Square, Trinity, etc.) are up to date.
- Support the Finance Director in the delivery of financial services by contributing to the development of finance policies, and ensuring compliance with current legislation, best practice and corporate standards.
- Prepare multiple complex and varied financial reports (including ad hoc reports) that require selection, preparation, and interpretation of data using complex data query tools.
- Support in-depth, rapidly moving underwriting analysis of active and proposed investments. Analysis and modeling includes, but is not limited to, rental rates, debt, taxes, insurance, cash flow, etc.
- Conduct analysis to support the due diligence process, including financial statements of private markets partnerships, reviewing partnership portfolio company valuations, assessing relative performance and strategizing on how to optimize performance.
- Participate in meetings with key stakeholders.
- Assist with special reporting, research, and due diligence projects on an ad hoc basis
- Perform other duties as needed or required
- Completes insurance duties as directed in the Insurance Checklist.
- Completes financial modeling duties, as directed.
- Completes valuation, reporting and quarterly portfolio review duties as directed.
- Completes new loan closing duties as directed in the Closing Checklist.
- Completes rental investment capitalization and sale of assets, as directed in the Closing Checklist.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, business economics, or related field with a record of high academic achievement
- Analytical experience in investment banking, consulting, audit, investment management, or other similar fields (including internships)
- A strong interest in real estate investments and capital markets
- Experience working in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated experience with quantitative analysis
- Excellent attention to detail

- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and resourceful
- Self-motivated with the ability to focus on multiple tasks and deliverables

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
- Associate needs to occasionally move about the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
