Who are we looking for?

We're looking for an experienced Finance professional to join us on our mission. In this role, you will be responsible for strategic finance and day-to-day financial operations, and play a key role in strategic decision making. You will work closely with senior stakeholders including the CEO, CRO and Head of People, reporting into the Head of Finance, and willing to work in person at NYC headquarters 3 days a week.

As a senior leader in the business, you will play a key factor in driving Pinwheel's next stage of growth. More specifically you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and helping lead company-wide finance operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash management, financial planning, financial analysis, accounting and financial reporting
  • Modeling out financial impact of business initiatives and providing recommendations to aid strategic decision-making and resource prioritization
  • Defining and tracing of monthly/quarterly key performance indicators, helping to continuously improve reporting frameworks and tools
  • Collaborating with RevOps lead to drive monthly financial reviews to understand forecast variances and identify key trends and areas for forecast improvement
  • LiaIsing with other external parties e.g., 3rd party accounting team, tax advisors, banks, etc.
  • Assisting with investor relations, board materials, fundraising, diligence requests, and other external facing activities on an as-needed basis

What experience, skills, and qualifications are necessary?

  • 5-6 years of finance experience, both at an investment bank or PE firm, and in-house at an early stage SaaS company in an FP&A role
  • Experience in Fintech or usage-based business models a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; demonstrable track record of being scrappy, and finding creative solutions to tough, and oftentimes ambiguous problems
  • Strong problem solving and analytics skills, including deep experience with financial modeling
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail
  • Willing to work in person at NYC headquarters 3 days a week

When creating an offer, we consider interview performance, candidate experience, external market competitiveness, and internal equity in thoughtfully assessing compensation. The expected cash salary range for this role is $160,000-$200,000
