Federal Trade Zone (FTZ) Coordinator

Position Summary

The Federal Trade Zone Coordinator will work with various departments and business associates to ensure receipts and deliveries flow through the company in a timely manner and regulatory reporting is in compliance with federal and state regulations, mandates, and policies.

Position Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform the day-to-day activities of the terminal for inbound and outbound declarations; ensure the timely and accurate filing of the appropriate US Customs declarations.
• Develop and coordinate receipt and delivery schedules with appropriate stakeholders, ensuring a through work process for tank trucks, tank railcars, barges, and vessels.
• Monitor the flow of tanks, tank trucks, tank railcars, barges, and vessels to ensure on time delivery.
• Coordinate troubleshooting problems to ensure tank trucks, tank railcars, barges, and vessel processes remain on schedule.
• Ensure export documentation is accurately completed and provided.
• Maintain the Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Inventory Control and Recordkeeping Systems (ICRS).
• Analyze and resolve any discrepancies between TopTech inventory balances and FTZ inventory balances.
• Determine the correct classification and guarantee the proper values utilized.
• Communicate with import/transportation departments and terminal staff to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant product movement.
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers through direct and timely contact over the phone, through email, or physical presence.
• Maintain an awareness of loss prevention, security, and safety by following all policies and procedures.
• Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external customers; consistently providing exceptional customer service.
• Maintain good working relationship with regulators, transport carries, brokers, and customers.
