The College of Health and Life Sciences is seeking to appoint a Technician. You will join a team of technicians who provide specialist technical support to the teaching and research facilities of Biosciences, Pharmacy, Neurosciences and Medicine. The successful candidate will be required to provide day-to-day support of the Cell Culture Facility and will undertake duties such as below:
Maintaining the Cell Culture Facility and liaising with key stakeholders such as Staff, Students and Researchers
Providing and Sharing Expert Technical Specialist Knowledge on Cell Culture to Staff, Students and Researchers
Providing Technical Support to Researchers for the Imaging Suite on equipment such as Confocal
Ensuring all Health and Safety Regulations are met
Performing Inventory and Stock Checks for the Cell Culture Facility, negotiating Value for Money with suppliers
The successful candidate will need to hold a degree in Biosciences and will need to have experience of working in Cell Culture Facilities.
