Junior Actuary

Within the Group Enterprise Risk Management Office we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the team to support dedicated Senior Risk Manager to achieve targets in due time, to monitor activities and planning, to verify and implement cross checks and analyses such to mitigate any operating risk.

The Junior Actuary will support one of the Senior Risk Managers within the Head of Risk Model Framework with possible focus on the Business Review and challenge of the Internal Model results of the different Legal Entities, support the manager in the maintenance of the Internal Model execution, as well as in ensuring proper on time delivery of results for both internal and regulatory compliance, either in the Quarterly Balance Sheet closing or in the Strategic Planning activities.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

• Support Group CRO on the Internal Model and Standard Formula quantitative aspects both related with Pillar I and Pillar II of Solvency II regime
• Define and review the Group Internal Model Overall Methodology
• Feed, monitor and report the IM simulations, monitoring the whole calculation process
• Review and analyzed Group and Local results supporting top management for strategic decisions
• Support the BUs in assessing and monitoring the local risk profile and related risk based measures
• Monitor the overall SCR of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. solo entity

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor and Master Degree in Economics, Finance, Actuarial Sciences or Mathematics
• Robust knowledge of statistical techniques and their application
• Knowledge and possible experience in Montecarlo Simulation techniques, correlations and aggregation of risks
• Knowledge of Insurance products and underwriting modelling
• English fluency for presenting and writing
• Solid and enhanced use of Microsoft Office suite, VBA and R

Nice to have:

• Proven effectiveness in interacting with and reporting to senior management
• Previous experience on financial aspects (Market Value Balance Sheet, Investments types, main financial pricing techniques)
• Possess knowledge of Insurance and Financial business processes, and industry best practices and regulatory requirements for risk management, with particular focus on Solvency II regime
