As Technical Supplier Developer at ZEISS, you will support strategic projects of digital products from the perspective of supplier quality in the consumer products sector. You will join ZEISS as an integral part of the team and represent quality and process issues within strategic purchasing suppliers worldwide and expand and intensify the supplier partnership.

The role as Technical Supplier Developer will involve:

• Support on strategic new projects of digital products from the perspective of supplier quality in the consumer products sector.
• Professionally represent quality and process issues within strategic purchasing vis-à-vis suppliers worldwide and expand and intensify the supplier partnership in close cooperation with other departments (category management, R&D, engineering, logistics, scheduling)
• Within the Consumer product development process, carry out the advance quality planning for the procurement scope of the electronic, electromechanical, and optical assemblies up to release and the definition of suitable measures in the event of deviations.
• ensure that the assigned projects are completed on time and in the specified quality and costs.
• Plan and carry out international supplier audits and process acceptances and effectively track the resulting measures Monitor and report on the delivery quality of our suppliers in the project phases and derive measures for process optimisation and implement these in cooperation with the suppliers for series production.

As a Technical Supplier Developer, you will ideally have:

• A successfully completed technical or scientific university degree, with a focus on electrical engineering, mechatronics, information technology or comparable.
• Several years of proven experience in the field of supplier quality for electronic components as well as in cooperation with international suppliers
• In-depth knowledge of quality methods such as FMEA, Problem Solving / 8D Expert / Six Sigma, an auditor training according to ISO9001 or comparable
• Fluent in English as well as the willingness to travel internationally, knowledge of another language is an advantage
• An independent, analytical and structured way of working
• Professional appearance, high social skills, ability to work in a team, motivation and assertiveness, intercultural experience (Asia)
