ABOUT THE JOB:

The aim of Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to Société Générale investment and corporate bank units and their clients to accelerate their transformation. GBTO differentiates itself from competitors with the pace of the agile transformation delivered, spreading the technology and data culture, shortening the decision-making process, and adopting a true industrial approach, leveraging on different teams either transversal or aligned to the different sub business units.

This is a central and dynamic position as you will:

Gather the user requirements, Specify the solutions to put in place, coordinate the test cases execution, contribute to execution when needed, contribute to change management by training the users when required and ensure that all developers understand well the business needs/requirements.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

You will always start your day with your teammates in a Scrum meeting where you will share your next challenges. Then, you will start tackling the prioritized tasks with your team and Project Owner.

Société Générale’s Business Analyst are always at the core of any project therefore you will frequently participate to peer’s review, analysis, and user’s demo.

Core responsibilities:

  • Act as an expert to the Prime Brokerage group and specify the requirements for the business, requests/projects to the development team
  • Builds change management plans of varying scope and type; leads or participates in a variety of change management activities including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Client satisfaction oriented, fast learning capacity and able to work in a high - pressure environment
  • Team-oriented and adaptable to changing environment/demands
  • Understanding of Prime Brokerage including trade processing, margin risk, settlement, client billing...

Technical Skills:

  • SQL

Languages: French and English

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.

Due to US Federal Securities law applying to this position, candidates who will apply for this position will be required to submit to an enhanced background screening, including the collection of their fingerprints by a third-party vendor selected by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority ("FINRA")
