VP of Capital Markets

Piper Maddox has just been engaged on a confidential, exclusive search, by an incredibly innovative and exciting company within the residential solar and SaaS-based clean energy marketplace, sector. This is one of the leading players in residential solar, having been founded in 2009, and they've been picking up their market activity exponentially over the last few years.

With over $1BB of capital raised already, and an established $150MM tax-equity fund, and 170MW of operational assets spanning across 26 different states, they have positioned themselves quite competitively for the next decade. They are also actively engaging in a number of long-term partnership discussions with Fortune 500 organizations, from both an asset and software perspective, so their capabilities are definitely multi-faceted beyond simply homeowner energy production.

They are looking for a VP/Director of Capital Markets to act as the deal-lead for the organization, manage the origination, execution, and management of tax-equity financings in order to underwrite their project pipeline effectively, and deepen the relationships with these financiers further, to ensure long term partnerships are in place.

The ideal candidate would have:

• At least 8 years of professional experience within the context of renewable energy project finance

• Expert level financial modelling ability, specifically within the context of tax-equity

• Direct experience negotiating tax-equity transactions, and at least 1 successfully closed deal
