Role Overview
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President of Ice Cream Manufacturing will lead our non-union production facility, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Managing teams across various functions, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Efficiency: Drive quality compliance, inventory control optimization, and operational efficiencies across production, packaging, and ingredient management.
Production Planning: Lead production forecasting, scheduling, and distribution strategies to meet market demands.
Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment supporting departments from Plant Engineering to Retail and Wholesale Management.
Safety & Compliance: Champion safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety commitments.
Client Relationships: Cultivate relationships with co-packing clients, manage production agreements, and drive business growth.
Employee Development: Collaborate with Human Resources on employee development and engagement initiatives.
Sourcing & Procurement: Oversee strategic sourcing and procurement of raw ingredients and packaging materials.
Performance Optimization: Implement and refine performance metrics and KPIs to enhance operational performance and client satisfaction.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, Food Science, or related fields preferred.
7-10 years of management experience in food production, with at least 5 years in ice cream manufacturing.
Leadership Experience: Proven track record in leadership roles, managing diverse teams, and driving operational excellence.
Technical Acumen: Strong knowledge of plant equipment and processes, with a focus on strategic improvements.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.
