Regional Director of Operations - Carolinas

The region includes North and South Carolina properties, as well as one location in Nashville, TN

OTO Development is pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Regional Director of Operations.

What will you be doing most days?

• Analyze property financial results, reviewing significant variances from budgeted figures, coaching teams to constantly improve results
• Evaluate and select effective course of action quickly and accurately, anticipating, preventing, identifying, and resolving issues
• Work with hotel General Managers to ensure teams always understand performance versus budget
• Develop effective working relationships with on-site management and company leadership teams through site visits, organized meetings or calls, using contacts to evaluate performance, experience, responsibilities, and developmental needs
• Assimilate information from disparate sources, reaching conclusions adapted to specific situations
• Support guest satisfaction and repeat business through regular evaluation of property performance, ensuring facility cleanliness and maintenance through regular site visits and inspections
• Drive top line revenue for hotel portfolio through management of hotel sales function and through interaction with company revenue leadership
• Monitor preventive maintenance and engineering programs to ensure that systems and procedures support equipment life and asset integrity
• Review training and development processes to ensure associates contribute to a high level of guest satisfaction
• Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline team members within legal requirements and to ensure optimal property performance
• Create local and national marketing plans, working with revenue management team
  
  

What are the requirements for this position?

• You have a minimum ten years hotel operational leadership experience, preferably with select service brands belonging to Hilton, Hyatt, and/or Marriott brand families
• You have a four-year college degree, or equivalent experience, with 10 or more years hospitality management experience
• You have demonstrated success in developing financial and service goals for multiple units, ensuring that goals are met
• You must work well in high-pressure, stressful situations
• You have strong time management and organizational skills
• You have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• You have the intellectual ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from various sources
• You demonstrate financial acumen required to work with and understand financial information
• You have an action orientation to work efficiently and effectively toward region's revenue and operational objectives
• You have a valid driver’s license for your state of residence
  
  

Physical Requirements For This Position

You must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time as the job dictates.

Travel Requirements

This position requires up to 80% travel. Travel is outside the local area and overnight
