Night Auditor - Part Time

Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Islands’ only full service, casual resort is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Part Time Night Auditor. This part time/seasonal position is located on Mackinac Island and offers competitive pay, and other perks. The ideal applicant will have one or more years of accounting or Night Audit experience and retail experience is a plus, strong multi-tasking skills, and have experience working in a multi-cultural environment.

Position Summary

Responsible for the overnight operations of the Front Office and the accounting functions. Ensuring guest satisfaction while attending to the accounting side of business. Also responsible for part time work in the downtown art gallery. Participate fully in Mission Point’s hospitality culture as a member of our staff and maintain an excellent line of communication with the Accounting Manager and Guest Services Manager.

Required Skills And Experience

• Previous hotel front office, hotel accounting or night audit experience preferred.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office.
• Ability to problem solve and make decisions guided by policy and procedures.
• Must be able to learn quickly and be able to learn on the job.
• Be an enthusiastic, helpful and positive member of the team.
• Be professional, responsible and mature in conduct and behavior.
• Must be understanding, encouraging and friendly to all co-workers.
• Be self-motivated and use time wisely.
• Be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Knowledgeable of the Island, the hotel and its services and facilities.
