OVERVIEW:
The Managing Director plays a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership and effective management to drive the success of the assigned organization. This role involves devising and executing strategic plans, overseeing business operations, fostering stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the organization's overall growth and profitability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY:
- Develop and implement the company's global strategic plan.
- Identify and assess potential key markets worldwide.
- Formulate, execute, and monitor comprehensive business plans and budgets.
- Provide regular strategic updates to the Managing Director of the Sport Division.
- Establish internal policies, procedures, and legal frameworks.
- Supervise investments, business ventures, and financial stability.
- Cultivate enduring relationships with partners, local authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Represent the company at public events and major industry competitions.
- Oversee employment, professional development, and performance evaluation activities.
- Cultivate and nurture a strong company culture while ensuring its adherence.
- Lead the team in alignment with the Group's values.
- Travel frequently to Europe
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in business management with over ten years experience in an international manufacturing company, including at least five years as GM or MD overseeing US and European operations.
- Experience in managing competition from China and other low-cost countries.
- Demonstrated success in senior management roles with a PNL responsibility exceeding $30 million.
- Proficiency in strategic planning and implementation.
- Strong financial and business management acumen.
- Commercial awareness with a focus on B2B operations.
- Experience collaborating with Dealers & Agents.
- Operational experience is advantageous.
- Ability to navigate and reconcile conflicting interests.
- Exceptional analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative.
- Capacity to thrive in high-pressure environments.
- Effective leadership abilities.
- Fluent in English and German.
