As a Machinist / Fabricator, you will work with Research & Development Engineers to machine and build prototype parts and equipment.
Hunter offers a schedule of 40 hours per week, with no overtime required, and flexible work hours between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
What You Will Do
Create prototype machined and fabricated parts from steel and alloy bar stock and sheet metal, working from engineering drawings or verbal instructions.
Operate all machine shop equipment, including Bridgeport, lathes, drill presses, sheet metal brakes, presses, and other shop-related equipment.
Read engineering drawings and geometric tolerances to machines and inspect parts.
Set up machines for various parts, including complex castings and extrusions.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Include
High school diploma or equivalent plus 2-year degree or trade school certificate required.
3- years of experience with a strong background in using machine shops, metal fabrication tools, and equipment.
Experience cutting and forming sheet metal to a drawing.
Experience manually machining with vertical mill and lathe.
Willingness to learn new processes and tools.
Additional Qualifications Include
CNC Programming, Setup, and Machining Experience
Experience using and programming Haas vertical milling machines.
Experience with Master Cam
MIG/TIG/STICK welding experience
