Hedge Fund Accountant

Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Hedge Fund Accountant to join our dynamic team. As a Hedge Fund Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate financial records for our hedge fund clients. You will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of hedge fund operations, and proficiency in accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations of cash, positions, and transactions for hedge fund portfolios.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in the calculation and reporting of fund performance metrics, such as NAV (Net Asset Value) and P&L (Profit and Loss).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including SEC and GAAP standards.
• Collaborate with fund administrators, auditors, and other stakeholders to facilitate audits and regulatory filings.
• Support investment teams with ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
• Stay updated on industry developments and best practices in hedge fund accounting.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification preferred.
• 2 years of experience in hedge fund accounting or related financial services.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Advent Geneva, Bloomberg AIM) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, securities, and investment products.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
