Health Services Coordinator

This Health Services Coordinator/CSR role is an entry-level position responsible for providing exceptional customer service via the phone and other modes of communication to customers, as well as the timely, accurate, and productive review of claims. In this role, you will work with members, providers, health plans, and internal staff on various tasks. This role is a potent combination of administrative and customer service. It will allow you to learn the industry inside and out and provide opportunities for advancement with the team!
Before moving to a hybrid role, this role will start with 2-4 months of in-office training (Beaverton, OR, off 217).
Compensation: $23/hr
Availability: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing exemplary customer service to members, providers, internal staff, employer groups, and health plans while adhering to customer service guidelines.
- Must maintain professional etiquette and emotional management skills during all customer interactions.
- Serve as customer service contact and address questions regarding benefit quotes and Explanation of Benefits.
- Serve as customer service contact and address questions regarding eligibility verification and claim status.
- Serve as customer service contact and address questions regarding eligibility issues, benefits, third-party liability issues (Workers' Compensation), etc.
- Responsible for processing claims in a timely and accurate manner, following our policies.
- Responsible for verifying member coverage and eligibility
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong data entry skills
- Effective organizer, planner, and self-starter requiring minimal supervision
- Bubbly and energetic personality
- They must be able to multi-task efficiently
- Must have excellent MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills
- Efficiency and accuracy are critical to this role
