Early Childhood Educator -- Remote | WFH

Position Overview

The Early Childhood Educator will be responsible for teaching infants, toddlers, or preschoolers within a child-directed, inquiry-based, play-centered learning environment at a renowned educational institution in Waco, Texas. This position reports to the Director of a respected child development center associated with a prominent university's Human Sciences and Design department.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curricula for various age groups, ensuring engagement and academic growth.

Collaborate with colleagues to create inquiry-based, play-centered educational activities.

Conduct developmental screenings and assessments, ensuring individualized support for each child's growth and development.

Monitor and observe children daily to track progress and ensure a nurturing learning environment.

Communicate effectively with parents, students, faculty, and community professionals to support holistic child development.

Uphold ethical standards and university policies, contributing to a respectful and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related field required; Master's Degree preferred.

Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience; 3 years preferred.

Experience working with diverse groups, including children with special needs and their families.

Proficiency in positive guidance techniques and emergent curriculum design.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Commitment to supporting the mission of the educational institution and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Additional Requirements

Ability to pass a criminal background check and test prior to employment.

First Aid and CPR certification required (can be obtained after employment offer).

Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
