Job Description And Responsibilities

  • A Construction Project Manager/Superintendent is responsible for managing construction projects from groundbreaking to completion. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors and building dept. officials to define project needs, oversee staff performance, and maintain the construction jobsite. You will monitor projects from planning to completion, including tasks such as budgeting and scheduling. You will follow our quality standards and ensure the safety and security of the construction jobsite.

A Construction Project Manager/Superintendent also communicates and negotiates with business partners such as vendors, sub-contractors, other project managers, company ownership, etc. Responsibilities in this role include supporting the company vision, mission, and values while being accountable and transparent with company ownership. You will learn our systematic processes, connect ideas with designs, have a hunger to evolve, and enjoy the process! Other responsibilities include construction scheduling and calendaring appointments, follow up with vendors, contractors, etc. via email, phone, and on the jobsite meetings. Additional Construction Project Manager/Superintendent responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Regular communication with homeowners.
  • Keeping track of project progress.
  • Purchasing equipment and materials.
  • Leading and managing the on-site construction team.
  • Coordinating and overseeing all work on site.
  • Attending production meetings.
  • Reviewing, becoming familiar with, and adhering to the schedule and budget.
  • Ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.
  • Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports and project updates.
  • Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Any preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 Years of home building experience with at least 3 years of custom home building experience.
  • Demonstrated teamwork experience / Interacts well with others.
  • Proven experience with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communicator and listener.
  • Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Buildertrend Software
  • High-End Custom Homes building on the Mid-Peninsula
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Gannt scheduling software
