The current vacancy position is a permanent full-time position with the Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism in Downtown.

Salary: $5,918 to $7,198 per month (SR-24, Step D to I)

Duties Summary

The Business Manager V m anages the business affairs of a State institution; directs the budgeting activities of the institution; provides staff assistance to the supervisor on administrative matters; serves in a liaison capacity with staff personnel; and performs other related duties as assigned.

The immediate vacancy position is responsible for directing the financial management of the Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) Division including the accounting systems and methods; fiscal and auxiliary services including all procurement and contractual management for the division; real property management of all FTZ assets; program planning and budgeting; management of FTZ Division Business Office personnel; contracted personnel man agement functions; and acts on behalf of the FTZ as state and federal division liaison.

The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.

Basic Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Specialized Experience: Four (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience in financial management, budget preparation, budgetary control, and related business management functions. In addition, ONE (1) of the required four (4) years must have included supervisory responsibilities which involved planning and directing the work of subordinates, assigning and reviewing such work, and training and developing new employees.
