Strategic Security Corp. is currently seeking Armed Security Officers for an Emergency Response assignment throughout the state of Washington. Ideal candidates will be available on an on-call basis, and as assignments become available. Pay rate $35.00/hr

Strategic Security (SSC) is a nationwide leading provider of emergency response services for natural disasters and civil unrest, has Armed Emergency Response Security Officer on-call positions available for fixed posts to support our national contracts: Federally, with the U.S Department of Homeland Security and Commercially with cellular companies, automotive retail, quick service retail, national grocers, etc.. to establish an omni presence and deter potential criminal activity and misconduct while safeguarding employees and customers. Additional responsibilities include composing reports, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, controlling access and egress, and performing other duties as needed.
Must be able to respond within 12-24 hrs. from initial notification.

Many emergency response positions turn into full time positions whereas first right of refusal is given to the Strategic Emergency Response Armed Security Officer to transition to Armed Security Officer.
Duties
In addition to providing physical security, this role will participate in SSC's G.E.T. principals. Greet, Engage and Thank individuals for their business or patronizing the location. These duties include:
Welcome guests, victims, associates, employees and tenants in a warm, gracious manner inviting them into the location.
Engage by being proactive, examples below.
Proactively scan for potential threats stemming from criminal activity or life safety issues.
Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
Identify and warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles
Permit only authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits. May be required to utilize hand held wands or walk through magnetometers.
Deter individuals from theft of company property
Liaison with local law enforcement
Assist with basic first aid when necessary
Make emergency notifications.
Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle as directed by supervisor
Assignments may be limited in hours and will vary based on the need, and conditions of emergency / client request at each facility. The amount specified is based on the maximum 7 days and 12 hour shifts per week, and calculated at 40 hours of the regular rate of pay, and 48 hours of Overtime pay at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay if worked inside one workweek when scheduling for such assignments is available.
Education, Licenses And Certifications Required
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Pass a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
Pass and possess a State Licensed Armed Security Guard Card / License
Possess a HR 218 Unrestricted Handgun Carry License or a County / Town Handgun Carry License for the Area you will be working in
Experience Required
Verifiable work history if previously employed and must possess one or more of the following:
Graduate of an accredited high school or a Certificate of Completion of General Education Development requirements; and meet one of the following experience / education requirements:
1 year of Armed Security experience or as required by the contract for which you have applied to work, if greater

Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Environment: Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat
Major activity: Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing
Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
