Skin Me is a mission driven start-up with seriously big skin goals.

We're looking for a Senior National Account Manager to join the team at Skin Me. This is a hybrid working role with three days a week in our Paddington HQ (Mon, Tue, Fri) and two days remote. You will also get to make ad hoc site visits to our retailer partners.

You will lead the commercial sales growth within our trading retail accounts. You'll report directly into the Commercial Retail Director and your responsibilities will include:

Ownership of day-to-day retailer relationships

  • Establish and maintain amazing relationships at all levels within the Retailer Department Store teams, including Buying/Trading, Merchandising, and Marketing, to ensure that Skin Me is perfectly positioned to deliver high levels of commercial success, brand visibility, and product exposure
  • Manage commercial negotiations on space and location, in-store visibility, and digital support with retailer Buying and Merchandising teams


Delivering our strategic planning and forecasting

  • Build all net sales forecasts, meeting all financial deadlines and budget submissions, flagging risks and opportunities in a timely and quantified manner to the Commercial Retail Director
  • Ensure accurate forecasting for NPD and core lines, and proactive inventory and assortment management, in close collaboration with your Trade Marketing planning counterpart, Demand Planning and Supply Chain
  • Work closely with Marketing, Visual Merchandising, PR to create and deliver an annual plan for each retailer covering: activation of key launches and marketing moments, eventing, store/retailer animation, considering both customer acquisition and retention
  • Retain agility to react to retail trends and maximise opportunities across channels to ensure we succeed in our mission to deliver a #1 ranking skincare brand across the estate


Management of the retail P&L, internal reporting and cross functional delivery

  • Manage each account P&L, balancing investment with top-line opportunity. Monitor retailer profit contribution to achieve agreed profit margins
  • Responsibility for reviewing product assortment and sales to maximise counter productivity in partnership with trade marketing
  • Align trading plans with local teams to ensure a consistent and phased plan across all retailers within each region, avoiding unnecessary conflicts of activity
  • Provide weekly by account business recaps and monthly reports that detail sell-thru by SKU, rankings, productivity, stock & sales and competitive analysis. You will participate in weekly retail planning team meetings to drive wholesale business and align on our forecasts
  • Lead weekly S.I.S.O calls with teams and monthly meetings to review all business opportunities and make operational adjustments to deliver against your commercial plan
  • Work with Visual Merchandising to ensure all updates are executed in a timely manner and communicated to buying teams for retailer approval


Who you are:

  • Around 5 -7 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong experience working with major UK beauty and skincare retailers
  • A passion for skincare and beauty with a deep understanding of the UK skincare market and trade marketing tactics
  • Commercially-minded and driven by hitting targets
  • Highly organised and able to effortlessly manage multiple work streams at the same time
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation and relationship management skills
  • A strong analytical understanding of how to interpret data to measure success
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and you're a self-starter who thrives in an environment that strongly values individuals with a bias-for-action and execution
